This is Marika's POP ocean forcing Marika modified this code Julies original code to run a gx1v3 case That code is in /fs/cgd/data0/mholland/ocnfrc/POP_gx1 Her forcing files are in: /fs/cgd/data0/mholland/data/popocn The SHF field on the ocean netcdf files is latent+sensible+LWup+LWdown+melt heat flux+SW heat flux the frazil ice formation heat flux term is *not* included so basically, SHF is the total heat flux for the sfc layer excluding frazil ice formation and lateral/vertical advection and diffusion Hey Julie. I've found the fortran code that I used to make the ocean forcing files. It is in - /fs/cgd/data0/mholland/ocnfrc/POP_gx1. It looks like I computed stuff from b202.20.0 (and I can't remember what this run was - maybe an early control run?). On a very quick first look, I think it is including melth - but I'd have to dig into the code to really check. Also, I computed the gx1 stuff and then interpolated this to the gx3 grid to get those files. I wanted to use a consistent forcing for both grids. When I was comparing forcing fields, I did run some stuff with your (the standard) ocean forcing. Nothing looked *really* strange as far as I remember.
